Gateway Rehab (GRC) is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable PRN Cleaning Technician to join our team at our adult inpatient facility, The Greenbriar Center, in Washington, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across various facilities, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces. You will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal, ensuring a healthy and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and public spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, carpets, and hard surfaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
  • Dust and clean windows, mirrors, desks, furniture, and other surfaces.
  • Stock and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in designated areas.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs, including broken fixtures, plumbing, or lighting issues.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with company cleanliness and sanitation policies.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, such as deep cleaning, window washing, or carpet shampooing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, buffer, etc.) and safely handle cleaning chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Good physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, lift, and move around for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Previous experience as a cleaning technician, janitor, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Other Requirements

  • Pass PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
  • Pass Drug Screen.
  • 2-Step TB Test.

Work Conditions

  • Facility treating those with substance use disorders.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and dirt.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.
