Technical Editor/Writer needed: Grand Prairie, TX. 
 
We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for a Technical Editor/Writer to work a contract position in Grand Prairie, TX. This is a 12 month long contract position and you must be a US Citizen to apply. Required: US Citizenship and Residency, W2 hourly Contract Only, No 1099, No third parties, no C2C.  No exceptions (Sorry)
 
Pay: $55 to $61.75/hr. D.O.E.    
 
TECHNICAL EDITOR/WRITER 
Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.
 
Job Duties include
Editing and Writing of: Operating Procedures,   Acceptance Test procedures, Calibration Procedures, Installation Procedures, Test Requirements Documents, Support Review and Release processes for documents Using Windchill, Follow and Support Configuration Management for the program.
 
Basic REQUIRED Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
6+ years of technical writing experience in aerospace, defense, or high‑tech environments; prior work with test equipment documentation preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and PLM systems (Windchill experience required).
Familiarity with ECSS, MIL‑STD, or other aerospace documentation standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear instructions.
Understanding Change Control processes and configuration management.
 
Contractor selected will work onsite full time for the first few weeks of the assignment, and then move to hybrid schedule of 1-2 days from home
