Senior Systems Administrator - Linux/Windows (TS/SCI with FS Poly)
Location: On-site (No Telework) in Annapolis Junction, MD, Fairfax, VA., El Segundo, CA. Tukwila, WA.
Travel: Up to 10%
Join a dynamic team supporting a complex, multi-site IT infrastructure across the U.S., anchored by Red Hat Linux-based High-Performance Computing Clusters. Our environment integrates tools like Cadence, Atlassian, DOORS, GitHub, and includes both Windows PCs and thin clients. Future plans include incorporating Wind River's VxWorks embedded Linux.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement secure system designs using best practices in software and systems engineering.
  • Provide end-to-end IT support in secure lab environments, from desktops to servers.
  • Manage system access, patching, and release planning for hardware/software.
  • Support classified networks and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows systems, including virtualized environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues; automate tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Integrate and maintain applications and infrastructure in accordance with RMF/JSIG standards.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
  • CI Poly within the last 5 years
  • 9+ years of experience in lab/test environments and classified networks.
  • Strong background in Linux and Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with IT hardware, networking equipment, and HPC systems.
  • Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep experience with Linux (RHEL), Windows Server/Desktop, VMware, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with GPOs, scripting (PowerShell), and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with system backups, patching, and COTS software.
  • Knowledge of RMF/JSIG compliance and secure system integration.
