Job description

  Position Summary

The Project Developer will be a central hub in Antora's commercial project development function.  They will organize a cross-functional team of subject matter experts to advance Antora's energy storage projects from ideation to the execution of commercial contracts.  This requires establishing project plans and coordinating efforts across engineering, business development, power supply and project finance teams as well as driving community engagement efforts by representing Antora to landowners and local leaders.  

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain project timeline, milestones and accountability alignment within Antora's commercial teams to accelerate deals to the final investment decision (FID).  
  • Build and maintain commercial contract and commercial risk tracking tools to maintain deal team alignment, prioritization and visibility for key stakeholders and leaders.  
  • Escalate deal risks to appropriate leaders and stakeholders and manage the workstreams required to mitigate these risks. 
  • Partner with Antora's legal and business development teams to de-risk land control for projects by executing lease, easement and title agreements.
  • Represent Antora to local community leaders and authorities to obtain the required permits to advance our thermal energy storage projects.  
  • Setting the negotiation strategy for key commercial contracts
 Key Qualifications
  • Associate level position:
    • 3+ years experience in project management with at least 2 years developing wind, solar, storage, renewable hydrogen, clean data center, or other large renewable power projects.
  • Senior level position:
    • 5-8+ years experience of applicable experience
  • Staff or Principal Developer of applicable experience
    • 12+ years experience of applicable experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional to that advance energy deals to final investment decision and commercial contract execution. 
  • Proven experience in successfully mitigating deal/project risks through appropriate escalation and managing de-risking workstreams.  
  • Track record of building trusted relationships  with project stakeholders, community leaders and decision makers at all levels, internally and externally 
  • Exceptional project management abilities - establishing project plans, managing stakeholders, effective communication/presentation, de-risking and influencing 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project ownership, high degrees of initiative and self-motivation, problem-solving creativity and ability to get things done well.
 Additional Qualifications Desired
  • Expertise developing a variety of technologies for large energy projects. 
  • Experience with developing projects for first-of-a-kind (FOAK) energy projects 
  • Experience in developing projects/deals with industrial manufacturers 
  • Fluency in building and reviewing detailed project financial models

Work Location:  Remote, US

Salary Range:  $140,000 USD - $265,000 USD

Salary Basis:  Annual

The actual salary offered will be within the posted range and determined based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experiences, credentials and expertise, as they pertain to the position's requirements.
