Job description

Job Summary

Voyager Energy Services is currently seeking Class A CDL Drivers with Winch Truck experience. Local to Permian Basin or Kennedy, TX preferred. Position will require driving equipment to and from customer locations hauling various types of materials and equipment. Assigned equipment could include light duty vehicle or winch truck depending on assignment. This is a safety sensitive position.

Job Duties

  • Drives required equipment safely to and from customer location

  • Drives commercial vehicles over various road types and terrain including highways, rural roads, paved and gravel surfaces and possible off-road situations. Road conditions could include muddy roads, snow covered roads, steep hills, and other poor conditions

  • Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Able to follow verbal directions and use navigation equipment if needed to find locations making sure the proper truck route is followed

  • Loads, unloads, secures cargo according to regulation

  • Completes paperwork for each job to include pre and post trip inspections, work tickets, JSA’s, and DOT electronic logs

  • Understands and performs DOT minimum maintenance requirements of CMV

  • Understands and uses appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times

  • Cleans and maintains equipment during and after use

  • Stops work due to unsafe conditions or situations

  • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with at least 1-year winch truck experience

  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a current medical card

  • Understands and complies with DOT rules and regulations

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check

  • Must pass MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) requirement standards

  • Must be able and willing to be on call, work nights, weekends and holidays

  • Must be able to read and speak English

  • Travel required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to sit long periods of time while driving

  • Ability to stand or walk for periods of time, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Typical Working Conditions and Hazards

  • Work is performed in all weather conditions; extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions

  • Able to perform duties with proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • Working near or with heavy tools and moving equipment

  • Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
