Job description

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Lead Operator.
Responsibilities:
  • Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring the immediate team is operating in compliance. This role has the knowledge to provide the guidance needed as well as a strong understanding and focus on the company's safety policies and procedures. This role is dedicated to the success of the team and the company through positive leadership and coaching.
  • Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records. This role is able to assist other operators by providing solutions to issues that may arise with equipment operations. This role has the knowledge to spot areas of concern where a new team member may not be able to. This position will also follow the company's reporting policies and be the dedicated "first contact" in the event of an accident or injury in the field. This position will be able to execute the "Stop Work" and ensure all steps are followed with safety & compliance being a top priority.
  • Moves and positions materials through use of material moving equipment. This role has a strong understanding of day-to-day operations and is able to demonstrate to their peers how/when specific tasks are completed. This position provides positive guidance while coaching other operators throughout the day.
  • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment. A Lead Operator will have the knowledge to be able to verbally explain and physically demonstrate the operating procedures to new or less experienced operators with a clear understanding of the safety policies/rules required by the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. This position will act as a "middleman" between the Supervisor and front-line employees to ensure a clear message is delivered while also notifying the Supervisor of any issues/questions that may arise in the field. This position will maintain the highest level of integrity and respect and is an ambassador of our company representing our core values and ethics
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
