Job description

Job Title: Cloud Camp Ranger  

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour  

Job Summary: 

Cloud Camp is the Broadmoor’s highest wilderness experience all-inclusive adult getaway. Sitting at 9,000 ft, Cloud Camp offers its guests unforgettable experiences to include world class food and beverage offerings, daily activities, and extraordinary accommodations.  

As a member of the Cloud Camp Team, the Ranger will ensure total guest satisfaction through prompt and efficient service in a courteous and professional manner. Provide guest activity guidance, basic housekeeping and breakfast and lunch service while projecting a professional image that is in line with Cloud Camp standards.

What you will be doing: 

  • Smile and welcome guests with a positive attitude that supports the philosophy of Cloud Camp. 
  • Prepare, participate and assist in guest activities as needed. 
  • Greet and escort guests to their assigned cabin(s) and other areas of Cloud Camp while verbally acquainting them to the property and share details of our facilities, history and amenities within the guest cabin areas in accordance with AAA and Forbes standards. 
  • Assist with breakfast and lunch service. 
  • Lead guest activities. 
  • Handle luggage to and from guest cabins. 
  • Deliver amenities and other items as the needs arise to and from cabins and other areas. 
  • Assist with general landscape duties to include but not limited to clear snow/leaves, mow, water and upkeep lawns, roads and flowerpots. 
  • Direct guests to appropriate areas for camp activities and dining. 
  • Assist with the display and organization of the activities lawn. 
  • Assist other positions as needed to ensure smooth operations of Cloud Camp. 
  • Ensure appropriate follow-through on guest requests and assigned tasks. 
  • Assist with basic housekeeping duties or requests in and out the cabins. Duties include strip beds, clear trash, replenishing ice and sweep porches. 
  • Perform daily inspections, cleaning, etc. of hot tubs. 
  • Report all necessary repairs in a timely manner to Managers. 
  • Cross train in all duties and responsibilities of Cloud Camp. 
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for: 

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and at least one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or background in hiking, yoga, archery and other outdoor activities a plus.  
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred in order to assist with transporting items for guests and guests activities.  
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older. 
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will be at an altitude of greater than 9,000 feet which the employee will have to acclimate to daily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and walk; use hands to handle, grip, point, feel and reach; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
