Description:

SUMMARY: This position is located in the Food & Beverage Department under the direction of the Event Center Director. The incumbent directly manages all Food and Beverage services for Cocopah Casino and Wild River. They are responsible and accountable for providing outstanding food items and beverages. The Supervisor will manage the departments, including purchasing, staffing and placement, training, and development. They are accountable for cooperating with other departments, ensuring the objectives of the Casino and Wild River are met.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

โ€ข Manages the operation of the Food and Beverage areas.

โ€ข Assures all administrative and health standard duties are performed.

โ€ข Provides, manages, and implements direct customer service for the department.

โ€ข Completes all Food orders, completes all inventories, maintaining appropriate items for use and sale.

โ€ข Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and discipline to subordinates as needed.

โ€ข Must understand and comply with the System of Minimum Internal Control Standards

โ€ข Consistently enforces policies and procedures.

โ€ข Interviewing, conducting orientations, and scheduling.

โ€ข Manage budgets, process invoices, track expenses, and maintain records.

โ€ข Enforce health, safety, and food handling regulations.

โ€ข All other assigned duties.


Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to lead, supervise, and train employees.
  • Ability to pass food service health inspections.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must have the ability to learn and understand the State Gaming Compact and operational policies and procedures.
  • Know the importance of Guest service and train your team on the importance of satisfied guests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Computer skills required: Microsoft, Word, Excel, and POS systems for Restaurants and bars.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, evenings, and other hours as required to support special events and operational needs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years specialized work experience in the Food & Beverage field.
  • Must be a Manager Serve Safe certified.
  • Title 4 AZ liquor knowledge/certification.
  • Must be certified by the Arizona Department of Gaming and Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In the gaming industry, one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.
