Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Hair/Wig/Weave/Braid Specialist with a strong background in African American hair care. This role is responsible for assisting customers with product selection, providing expert guidance on hair textures and styles, and maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing retail space. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty, understands protective styling, and can confidently recommend products for natural, relaxed, and textured hair.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized customer service by assisting clients with wigs, bundles, braiding hair, extensions, and hair care products
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on hair type, texture, and desired style (natural, relaxed, protective styles, etc.)
  • Educate customers on proper maintenance of wigs, weaves, braids, and natural hair
  • Assist with wig fitting, basic styling, and customization guidance (e.g., lace fronts, closures)
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked displays for hair products and accessories
  • Stay up to date on current trends in African American hair care and styling
  • Support inventory management, including stocking shelves and monitoring product levels
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance the customer experience


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a beauty supply store, salon, or similar retail environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of African American hair textures, products, and protective styles
  • Familiarity with wigs, weaves, braiding hair, and hair extensions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
