Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport tires, parts, and equipment to wholesale customers on assigned routes.
  • Load and unload tires and related inventory at customer sites and warehouse facilities.
  • Ensure all products are delivered accurately and on time, following proper documentation procedures (e.g., invoices, delivery slips, and signatures).
  • Represent Southern Tire Mart professionally and courteously at all customer locations.
  • Maintain delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and mileage records per DOT and company standards.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory handling, stocking, and organizing shipments.
  • Report any delivery delays, vehicle issues, or customer concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety policies and traffic laws.
  • Occasionally assist with tire-related tasks or mobile service support, depending on business needs.

Skills, Education & Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (CDL not required unless driving larger delivery vehicles.)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move tires and equipment up to 100 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Prior delivery or warehouse experience preferred, especially in automotive or industrial sectors.
  • Ability to work independently, follow delivery schedules, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
