Job description

PURPOSE of the Production Facilitator and Safety Coordinator

THE PRODUCTION FACILITATOR / SAFETY COORDINATOR is responsible for facilitating and supporting the Production Project Management teams in the field through all phases of the project including permit applications and tracking of Inspections, distribution and management of plans, material procurement, job mobilization, demobilization, job closeout and all day-to-day responsibilities as related to being the designated Safety Coordinator.

THE PRODUCTION FACILITATOR / SAFETY COORDINATOR will be responsible for the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

Office / Administration

  • Permitting
  • Coordinate preparation of all necessary information and drawings related to filing for any and required Permits Including, building, demolition, signage etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper members of building team for each project are being notified In advance on all Inspections (Including MEP)
  • Plans & Specifications -
  • Responsible for tracking, distribution, enumeration, organization and archiving of blueprints
  • Responsible for HWBI equipment and warehouse management system
  • Update field tools inventory monthly
  • Maintain log of assigned field tools specifically to HWBI employees
  • Know location of each tool at all times
  • Maintain warehouse storage organization
  • Keep materials dry, neat, and accessible

Material Expediting

  • Always working towards maximizing efficiency of trips to big box, materials supplier stores by:
  • Coaching superintendents on best practices for ordering materials on-line
  • Notifying Superintendent in advance when a trip to Big Box is scheduled
  • Prepare a summary report that indicates number of trips and purpose monthly for all jobs
  • Submit report to Production Manager

Jobsite Conditions

· Post Company job sign and maintain (keep straight, paint, and construct new ones when needed)

· Work with Project Managers to ensure proper safety fencing, barriers, silt fencing, and barricades are installed and maintained.

· Coordinate with Superintendent or Project Manager to keep adequate supplies of general building materials at every site: floor protection, polyethylene, felt, flashing material, cement, etc.,

· Doing everything it takes to maintain and improve company reputation for clean and safe jobsites. This may include assisting with weekend and / or emergency cleanup.

· Job Mobilization/Demobilization

  • Provide or remove all needed/unneeded materials, protection and equipment to and from work areas and jobsite as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager

Safety

· Create and implement safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily

· Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis for compliance with OSHA and company policies

· Submit weekly report to the Production Manager

· Educate employees on safety standards and expectations

· Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace

· Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident

· Maintain documentation of the company's safety practices and procedures

Other duties

· Communicating with and following up directly with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Production Manager about job requirements and expectations

· Perform tools and material research as requested.

o Prepare and present Cost Comparative Analysis with Recommendations

· Work with and participate in the onboarding of new employees. Provide feedback to tweak onboarding plan for new employees as appropriate.

· Demonstrate an ongoing development of construction knowledge, best practices, and technical expertise

· Ensure that Company trucks is serviced, maintained, and kept In a clean and orderly manner

The Project Facilitator / Safety Coordinator Must Have:

  • Current OSHA 30 hours training course
  • Time and Priority Management Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbally), effectively, and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Competence in the following skills and programs:
  • Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word
  • Procore (training available to candidates with proven aptitude)
  • Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently with all project stakeholders and on a team
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and desire to learn and grow both professionally and personally
  • Ability to Identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field.

Success Criteria:

· Consistently meets critical deadlines and dates related to all assigned responsibilities and duties of the position.

· Communicates effectively with internal and external resources to meet deadlines on deliverables.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, proven ability to be a multi-tasker and decision-maker.

· Responds to emails and phone calls within 24 hours from internal or external sources (in all cases).

· Committed to learning and constant improvement.

o Is working to develop identified attitudes, skills, and knowledge in the growth and development plan.

· Works professionally and collaboratively with all project stakeholders.
