Job description

We are looking for an experienced A-Level Diagnostic Automotive Technician with strong diagnostic and repair capabilities.

We are seeking someone who can independently diagnose difficult problems, perform quality repairs, and help expand the technical capabilities of an established independent repair shop.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose electrical and drivability concerns
  • Perform check-engine-light and engine-performance diagnosis
  • Complete steering, suspension, and brake repairs
  • Diagnose and repair heating and air-conditioning systems
  • Diagnose starting and charging systems
  • Perform cooling-system repairs
  • Perform engine-related and major mechanical repairs
  • Complete general maintenance and repair work
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections
  • Properly document findings and recommended repairs
  • Complete repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Communicate additional repair needs to the service desk
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Protect customer vehicles and property
  • Minimize comebacks through quality workmanship

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic capability
  • Comfortable diagnosing electrical and drivability problems
  • Ability to perform major mechanical repairs independently
  • ASE certifications preferred but not required for the right technician
