Job description

We are hiring a Research Tech 1 with experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology to join our Group.

Duties will include:
Performs laboratory experiments utilizing standard techniques and equipment: Enzymatic activity, protein-protein interactions, cloning, western blot, PCR, cell culture, and immunofluorescence.
Collects experimental data: western blot images and microscopy images.
Processes, organizes, and summarizes data, reporting experiment results: Organize the data in files, process plots (graph pad prism), and might help with drafting figures (photoshop, or illustrator).
Assists in the design of laboratory experiments, techniques, and protocols: Condensate all necessary protocols for the lab, document any changes, and share protocols with new lab members. 
May instruct other staff and students in basic laboratory techniques. Depending on training, the Research Technician will assist with the training of other lab members. The person hired will also receive training as needed.
Uses protein structure visualization software like Chimera and/or Pymol
Laboratory maintenance such as maintaining equipment, ordering, and organizing supplies
