ABOUT US
Bricks & Minifigs Westchester is a locally owned specialty store and event space in Bedford Hills, NY dedicated to all things LEGO®. We buy, sell, and trade new, retired, and bulk LEGO sets, minifigures, accessories, and built sets. We also host birthday parties, workshops, and free play days — making us a true destination for the Westchester community.
THE ROLE
We’re hiring a General Store Manager who’s ready to lead from day one. This is a true partnership with the owner: you run the store, drive the team, and own day-to-day operations — while the owner focuses on growing the business. We want someone who takes initiative, moves independently, and keeps ownership in the loop. Big decisions come to the owner; everything else is yours to lead.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
•      Run the store: open/close, manage daily operations, make real-time decisions independently
•      Lead & delegate: schedule, coach, and set your team up to succeed every shift
•      Payroll & HR: process payroll, hire and onboard staff, handle performance management
•      Inventory: receiving, pricing, cycle counts, trade-ins, and loss prevention
•      Reporting: pull and share weekly/monthly sales, labor, and inventory reports with the owner
•      Host events & parties: run birthday parties and in-store events; train staff to support seamlessly
•      Partner with ownership: proactively communicate, flag issues early, bring solutions — no surprises

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

•      3+ years retail management experience, including sole-charge store leadership
•      Payroll, hiring, and HR experience — you’ve done this, not just assisted
•      Proven inventory management: receiving, counts, trade evaluations, loss prevention
•      Experience hosting events, parties, or group activities
•      A natural delegator who builds teams that run smoothly without hand-holding
•      Self-starter who takes initiative — and knows when to loop in the owner
•      Comfortable and thriving in a clear ownership structure
•      Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

BONUS POINTS

•      Familiarity with LEGO® products or the collector/hobby retail space
•      Franchise retail experience
•      Social media content creation
WHAT WE OFFER
•      Competitive salary commensurate with experience
•      Real autonomy and ownership over a beloved local store
•      A fun, community-driven environment where you’re a key part of the team
•      Collaborative relationship with an engaged, accessible owner
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume and a brief note about your experience running a store independently to westchester.ny@bricksandminifigs.com. Tell us what draws you to this role — we’d love to hear from you.
