Summary: As a Warehouse Team Lead here at Werner, you will be responsible for guiding Warehouse Teammates engaged in various critical warehouse tasks, including receiving, put away, picking, replenishments, and shipping related to wire and conduit. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely movement of products with the Distribution Center.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma and equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor Warehouse Teammates.
  • Delegate tasks, set priorities, and monitor work progress to meet department and company KPI's.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Oversee the receiving process, ensuring accurate verification, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
  • Manage the efficient and organized storage of products within the Distribution Center.
  • Ensure products are correctly placed in designated storage locations.
  • Coordinate order picking activities to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
  • Verify order accuracy and quality before preparing for shipment.
  • Plan and execute replenishment activities to maintain adequate stock levels in pick locations.
  • Monitor and report on low-stock or overstock situations.
  • Oversee the shipping process, ensuring that orders are packed securely, labeled correctly, and shipped in timely manner.
  • Collaborate with proper personnel on time sensitive (RUSH) orders.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through WMS transactions and regular stock checks.
  • Investigate and address inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Ensure compliance in terms of PPE and the reporting of any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
