Job description

WEPCO is looking for a straight box truck driver who can provide safe and timely deliveries to our customers.

Candidates must be able to operate a straight box truck as well as tasks generally associated with deliveries and pick-ups. This position involves driving multiple consistent routes throughout MA, NH, RI, CT and NY.

Medical DOT card is a plus but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure safe and on-time delivery/pick-ups of products to customers using company vehicles
  • Follow all company procedures and standards
  • Load and unload product from the vehicle and verifies contents against packing slips and route reports
  • Complies with and enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and ensures proper working condition
  • Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road
  • Learn and follow predetermined mapped out routes and customer locations
  • Complete any report or logs (truck check forms and mileage)
  • Scan pick-up orders and file appropriate paperwork
  • Assist with packaging as needed
  • Cross train as a shipper and receiver

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years safe driving record
  • 3+ years of material handling
  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
  • 3+ years of truck driving experience
  • Familiar with DOT regulations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Willing and able lift 70 pounds and work with a pallet truck and forklift
  • Must be able to climb, step, navigate around a box truck, van or pick-up truck bed

Pay Comments: Pay Based on experience. Full benefits after 90 days: Health, Dental, Prescription, Life Insurance, 401k, PTO and Vacation!
