Automotive Technician

Do you utilize effective problem-solving skills to diagnose mechanical issues, complete repairs and maintenance with a timely and accurate solution? Compensation:  Base rate or flat rate, whichever is greater. 

Responsibilities 

  • Use shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment, etc. with confidence and in accordance with all safety procedures 

  • Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing 

  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials 

  • Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components 

  • Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact 
  • Repairing automobiles and light trucks that run on multiple fuel sources 

  • Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena 

  • Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities 

  • Leading or training others, less qualified, technicians in maintenance/repair activity when required 

  • Other duties as assigned.  

Ability to perform job requirements of lifting 75lbs or more, long standing hours, bending, twisting, climbing, and forward reaching.
