Reports To: Director of Patient Services (DPS)
Job Summary: The Director of Wellness is a committed and empathetic clinician who oversees the clinical team and administrative team in the private client department, including oversight of clients residing in private homes and those residing in Independent Living Facilities or other facilities. This position is instrumental in elevating our clients' quality of life through individualized healthcare assistance, orchestrating wellness initiatives, and cultivating a supportive atmosphere.
The Director collaborates and cultivates relationships with clients and referral sources in facilities and in the community to facilitate enrollment and participation in our extensive suite of services. This distinctive position gives the Director the opportunity to seamlessly integrate sales, operations, and healthcare services to enhance the lives of our clients.
Responsibilities:
Training and Orientation:
  • Ensure effective orientation and training of new hires in collaboration with the DPS
  • Provide regular feedback to the DPS on new hire progress

Marketing and Business Development:
  • Craft and present an engaging value proposition aimed at prospective residents of the facility and their families.
  • Architect and publicize informative seminars and workshops covering various health-related subjects for current clients, prospective clients, and their families.
  • Develop, grow, and effectively market all lines of service, including specialized disease-specific programming.
  • Generate and distribute informative materials concerning health enhancement, illness prevention, and graceful aging.
  • Effective use of Salesforce for prospect management and follow-up.

Supervision and Monitoring:
  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring caregiver compliance and safety and client safety and satisfaction.
  • Oversee the pre-billing reports and work closely with the coordination team to ensure all problems are addressed and resolved.
  • Maintain a high standard for documentation and reporting for all clinical and non-clinical staff with regular auditing and review.
  • Evaluate the clinical team and non-clinical staff to provide oversight to maintain productivity and support as needed.
  • Ensure consistent and appropriate communication with the facilities Executive Team.

Clinical Oversight:
  • Assume the central and vital role of addressing client's healthcare requirements and inquiries.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive wellness program to cater to individual client needs and preferences.
  • Stay current with the latest senior health and wellness advancements to provide pertinent and precise information.
  • Maintaining consistent, open communication with clients, families, and medical experts fosters a holistic care ethos.

Operational Efficiencies:
  • Supervise departmental operations focusing on promoting the health and well-being of the private clients in the community and facilities.
  • Consistent oversight and follow-up for overtime evaluation to maintain department goals.
  • Audit cluster utilization, documentation, and internal spreadsheets and report to the DPS.
  • Conduct daily meetings with the coordination team and formal weekly meetings with each department.
  • Complete monthly departmental reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of NY
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • 5+ years of nursing management experience
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and clinical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, health promotion, age-related health conditions, and regulatory standards for skilled nursing and assisted living.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to caregiving, valuing the dignity and individuality of each resident while consistently upholding a professional attitude.
  • Exceptional operations skills in a senior living environment, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in using technology for record-keeping, communication, and data management, reflecting a tech-savvy and professional approach.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on residents' needs, demonstrating a commitment to delivering top-tier service.
