What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a wellness program manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Wellness Program Manager, you need expertise in health promotion, program management, and data analysis, often backed by a degree in health education, public health, or a related field. Familiarity with wellness program platforms, survey tools, and certifications such as Certified Wellness Program Manager (CWPM) are commonly required. What is a wellness program?

A wellness program is an organized initiative offered by employers, organizations, or communities to promote healthy behaviors and improve overall well-being among participants. These programs often include activities and resources related to physical fitness, nutrition, mental health, stress management, and preventive care. The goal is to support individuals in making healthier lifestyle choices, reduce health risks, and enhance quality of life. Many wellness programs also aim to decrease healthcare costs and boost productivity.

What are some common challenges faced by wellness program coordinators and how can they be addressed?

Wellness Program Coordinators often face challenges such as engaging employees with diverse interests, measuring program effectiveness, and securing ongoing participation. To address these issues, coordinators can tailor wellness activities to employee needs through surveys, communicate program benefits effectively, and use data analytics to track participation and outcomes. Collaboration with HR and management is also key to ensuring leadership buy-in and sustained support, ultimately leading to higher program success and employee well-being.

Job description

Overview
Wellness Membership Advisor
Be the first person clients meet - and the reason they keep coming back. Build a rewarding career where connection, service, and sales come together.
Currently looking for Full Time and/or Part Time Positions - Weekends and Evening flexibility are a must!
$17.00 - $20.00 / hour + bonuses & commission
The Role - What You'll Do
As a Wellness Membership Advisor, you're the heart of the front desk - welcoming clients, managing scheduling and check-ins, and guiding new visitors into our Elements Wellness Program through a proven, relationship-focused sales process. You'll handle daily operations so our therapists can focus on what they do best, all while keeping the studio running smoothly, cleanly, and on-brand. If you love talking to people - and love listening even more - this role was made for you.
Who You Are - What We're Looking For
  • Natural Connector - You build rapport quickly, listen actively, and make every client feel genuinely welcome
  • Sales-Driven - You're motivated by goals and skilled at converting interest into membership through in-person, relationship-focused selling
  • Service-Minded - You turn client concerns into great customer service stories, and you take pride in creating exceptional experiences
  • Organized & Tech-Savvy - You're comfortable with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and learning new systems quickly
  • Team Player - You contribute to a clean, calm, professional studio environment and support your teammates every day
  • Flexible - You're available to work evenings and weekends as needed

Prior retail sales or spa/hospitality customer service experience is preferred but not required - we'll train the right person.
Compensation & Benefits What We Offer
Competitive hourly pay ($17.00 - $20.00 based on experience), monthly performance bonuses based on conversion targets, and commission on Wellness Program sales. Full-time employees receive medical insurance, plus every team member enjoys a complimentary monthly massage.
  • Monthly performance bonuses
  • Commission on wellness plan sales
  • Medical insurance (full-time)
  • Complimentary monthly massage
  • Professional development & training
  • Additional bonus opportunities
  • More Than a Front Desk Job

You'll use our proprietary Service Path tools to connect with every client - turning first visits into lasting wellness relationships. With clear targets, ongoing training, and a supportive team around you, this is a role where your people skills directly drive your earning potential and career growth in the wellness industry.
