Job Summary
The Finance Business Partnering Manager will report directly to the Director of Finance Business Partnering for the region and will be the go-to finance leader for the assigned area(s) within the Local Solutions business, partnering directly with the Area General Manager(s) and their support teams.
Job Location
This position will be located out of one of the Upper Midwest locations
Job Responsibilities
Operational Business Partnering
  • Partner with Area General Manager(s) to provide financial expertise and operational leadership to drive the strategic direction for the manufacturing sites
  • Provide operations management with strategic tools and interpreted reports to help drive business results.
  • Partner with operations leadership to support long-term capital allocation strategy and strategic financial decision making
  • Prepare and manage the annual strategic plans and budgeting process for the area(s)
  • Ensure the weekly forecasting process is complete and accurate, providing good visibility of likely outturn as well as actions required to hit targets.
  • Analyze and interpret plant operation results, evaluating variances, and assessing the effect on plant operations.
  • Monitor financial performance to identify and drive cost reductions and cost control initiatives.
  • Research pricing, competitors' trends and other factors affecting performance
  • Provide business modelling and risk assessments

People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, develop and mentor a small team (1-3) of finance professionals.
  • Delegate finance activities to team members, as appropriate
  • Partner with the Accounting and FP&A functions to support completion of all relevant internal and external reporting requirements.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced Degrees, CMA, CPA a plus
    • Relevant work experience could be considered in lieu of a degree for the right candidate.
  • 5+ years manufacturing finance and/or cost accounting experience required
  • Experience with data mining or planning applications
  • Experience with complex ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, SysPro, Sage), SAP S/4 Hana preferred
  • Advanced MS Office
  • Travel - 25% to 50%
  • Prior experience in team leadership preferred
  • Attention to detail around producing high quality products and meeting deadlines
  • The ability to be tactical as well as see the bigger operational picture.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex and detailed data and information into meaningful outtakes and decision base information.
  • In-depth understanding of measurement of goals and key performance indices
  • Ability to challenge information and uncover robust facts and data to improve insights and the quality of the final decision
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and this independently about alternative ways to solve problems based on analysis of data.
  • Ability to act independently as a subject matter expert with limited supervision.
  • Ability to implement ideas across a multi-plant environment
  • Ability to influence others without a direct reporting relationship.

Compensation
  • This role has a base salary range of $130,000 to $150,000/year + 15% annual bonus
  • Vacation hours of two weeks per year
  • Sick leave benefits up to 56 hours per annum
