The base hourly rate for this position is $24.77.

We're hiring for a Temp-to-Hire Forklift Operator role-an amazing opportunity to get your foot in the door with a company known for stability, growth, and taking care of its people.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm (occasional Saturdays as needed)
In this role, you'll help bring JM's core values to life by supporting daily warehouse operations, keeping things running smoothly, and contributing to a positive, safe work environment. If you're dependable, team-oriented, and enjoy hands-on work, you'll feel right at home here.
Responsibilities:
  • Show initiative in supporting safety, plant wide. Participate on committees as required.
  • Identify and report any mechanical or operational difficulty with truck, car or other equipment.
  • Uses safe work practices and always reports hazardous conditions.
  • Ensure accurate order picking.
  • Ensure orders meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
  • Ensure high quality loading workmanship.
  • Maximize FIFO and reduce scrap cost.
  • Maximize storage space for finish good materials and staging area.
  • Achieve company objectives and both internal and external customer expectations.
  • Ensure storage and distribution meet high housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure department's continuous compliance with internal and external policies and procedures.
  • Assist in cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and metrics are met.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment and housekeeping standards are maintained and filed.
  • Complete special projects directed by distribution center manager and senior management.
  • Assist with all receiving and shipping functions.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position.
Requirements: (education, skills, and abilities)
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse and distribution
  • Forklift experience required, sit down, propane preferred
  • Ability to load and unload flatbeds and dry vans

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling).
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder.
