Wellness Specialist
Role Information
Location: Twin Lakes | 9840 Montgomery Road, Montgomery, OH 45242
Schedule:
  • Part-Time, Days, 24hours per week, flexed schedule

Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements wellness programming
  • Creates individual exercise prescriptions
  • Lead group exercise classes (land and/or water)

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a health related or gerontology field, with course work that minimally includes: Exercise Prescription, Exercise Physiology, Gerontology, Health Promotion/Education, and Wellness, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in exercise programming and working with the older adult population as it relates to exercise and wellness.
  • Possess or can obtain, within the first 6 months of employment, the following certifications:
    • CPR
    • Basic Water Safety
    • Group Fitness or Personal Training
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Ability to produce basic reports, using Microsoft Office
  • Personally reflect an image of wellness and live out the six dimensions of wellness.
  • Demonstrate a familiarity with the relationship between exercise and other wellness programming and the older adult.
