Job description

Join our growing Human Resources team! As the Employee Wellness Coordinator, you'll help create programs that support employee well-being, engagement, and a positive workplace culture. Working closely with leaders across the organization, you'll help shape wellness initiatives that make a meaningful impact on the employee experience and support Southcentral Foundation's mission.

Hiring Range: $26.33 to $35.10 (Hourly)

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Employee Wellness Coordinator is responsible for supporting the assessment of SCF's employee wellness programs effectiveness, identifying gaps between current offerings and workforce needs, and proposing and delivering new programs or modifications to existing programs to close the gaps. This role partners with key stakeholders to gather input, coordinate program delivery, and ensure wellness initiatives are responsive, well-communicated, and aligned with broader HR and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

1. High School diploma; OR GED.

2. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or equivalent combination of education and experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as an HR Assistant, Background & Credentialing Assistant, Benefits Assistant, Recruiting Assistant, Supervisor I, health education programs, or similar position at SCF.

3. One (1) year of experience in human resources or public/health education.

Pursuant to the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, as amended, SCF pursues a policy of Alaska Native/American Indian preference in hiring, contracting, and training.
