Job description

Atlas Pressure Control provides oilfield pressure-control and wellhead equipment and related services, with a focus on quality products, strong service, and customer experience. As part of a fast-moving supply chain organization in the oil and energy sector, the team plays an important role in helping operations run efficiently and ensuring the timely flow of materials, equipment, and vendor support.
As Buyer I, you will support day-to-day supply chain activities in a highly transactional environment and help keep purchasing processes organized, accurate, and responsive. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support purchasing execution, documentation, order follow-up, and logistics coordination that contribute to smooth business operations.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain vendor records and legal documentation.
  • Solicit quotations and create purchase orders for non-inventory tools, services, wellhead equipment, and rental equipment.
  • Create purchase orders for additional materials and supplies as needed.
  • Review and manage part revisions on purchase orders, including engineering change notification communication with vendors.
  • Routinely review open purchase orders, follow up on pending orders, and update status information as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for purchase order and paperwork-related issues.
  • Input and manage international container and logistics tracking information.
  • Ensure monthly expenses are recognized.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
โ€ข Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
โ€ข Experience with purchase orders, including creating and managing orders for materials, tools, services, or equipment.
โ€ข Experience with vendor setup and documentation.
โ€ข Experience soliciting quotations and working directly with vendors.
โ€ข Experience following up on open orders and updating pending order status.
โ€ข Experience coordinating engineering change activity, including part revisions and ECN-related communication.
โ€ข Working knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
โ€ข Experience with drilling, frac, and wellhead equipment.
โ€ข Able to meet the role's physical demands, including occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, frequently lifting or moving up to 10 pounds, occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, and meeting close, distance, color, peripheral, depth-perception, and focus-adjustment vision requirements.
โ€ข Holds a valid driver's license.
โ€ข Eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
โ€ข Experience with NetSuite or Fishbowl.
โ€ข Knowledge of API 6A.
