What Role You Will Play on Our Team

ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide onsite operational expertise for its oil and gas development projects. The primary role and responsibility of the Well Operations Supervisor is to direct and manage well site operations for the ExxonMobil Wells Organization. The Wells Organization executes all wellwork operations (spanning from drilling, completions, to well management), in compliance with internal and external standards.

Well management operations include all wellwork post-completion; inclusive of drillouts, remedial workovers, and plug and abandonment. This role works in support of the ExxonMobil Wells Organization to conduct worldwide oil and gas well drilling, completion, and well management operations with an emphasis on safety, cost, and efficiency improvement. You will have the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally, both onshore and offshore to rig‑based site locations while working in a team environment and with diverse cultures.

This position is a rotational schedule; you will work on the well site (i.e. drilling rig, frac site, etc.) for two to four weeks (location dependent), then will be off for a corresponding amount of time. On‑the‑job mentorship as well as formal classroom training will be provided on theories and principles of drilling and well management.

This position is designated safety sensitive and is subject to a background check and drug and alcohol testing as required by ExxonMobil’s Alcohol and Drug Program.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-15 years' experience working on or managing well sites (drilling rig, frac fleet, workover rig, coil tubing unit) implementing and overseeing drilling, completion, workover, and/or P&A operations.
  • Minimum formal education requested: High school diploma.
  • Basic knowledge of math and science (i.e. technical knowledge of hydraulics, fluid flow, fluid mechanics, mechanical design and materials engineering).

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Problem‑solving skills, analytical ability and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, with the opportunity to see various operations and work with multiple mentors.

An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last. Our commitment to you runs deep: our employees grow personally and professionally, with benefits built on our core categories of health, security, finance, and life.

We offer you:

  • Pension Plan: Enrollment is automatic and at no cost to you. The basic benefit is a monthly annuity to be paid to you in retirement for the rest of your life.
  • Savings Plan: You can contribute between 6% and 20% of your pay and are encouraged to enroll right away. If you contribute at least 6% to your savings plan, the Company will contribute a 7% match.
  • Workplace Flexibility: We have several programs such as “Flex your Day”, providing ad‑hoc flexibility around when and where you work, as well as longer‑term programs such as leaves of absence and part‑time work.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Culture of Health: Programs and resources to support your wellbeing.
  • Employee Health Advisory Program: Provides confidential professional counseling for you and your family, including tools and resources promoting mental health and resiliency at no additional cost to you.
  • Disability Plan: Income replacement for when you cannot work due to illness or injury occurring on or off the job. Enrollment is automatic and at no cost to you.
