Job description

Summary: As part of the Training team, this position is responsible for providing instruction of Wild Well, IADC, and/or IWCF well control courses developed by WWCI on a commercial basis as directed by the corporate office for the sole purpose of profitable business. Travel is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct instructional course training utilizing approved outlines, time frames, and presentation materials as approved by Wild Well, IADC and/or IWCF.
  • Complete required paperwork for each course.
  • Sell Wild Well services and Wild Well Training during classes and on non-class work days.
  • Assist the Well Control Training Development Team to develop well control course material, assist with the design of instructional tools, and provide relevant scenarios for simulations.
  • Daily interface with other instructors, Area Managers, and corporate staff.
  • Any additional duties and responsibilities that may be required.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5 or more years Oil & Gas field experience in a position that requires well control certification.
  • Experience as an instructor or facilitator of well control, HSE or drilling workover.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point, and other technical learning tools.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability professionally guard confidential material, information, and resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • A team spirit and cooperative nature with a willingness to aid other team members.
  • Self starter capable of working and prioritizing projects with little supervision.
  • Dependable, confident, organized, and adaptable to instructional and schedule changes.

Education:
  • College graduate preferred or a relevant technical associate degree; some college and/or attributable experience will be considered.
  • Able to obtain well control instructor certification by attending all required classes and passing all certification exams.
