JOB DESCRIPTION: 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3pm-1am SUMMARY The Robotic Welding Cell Set-up/Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of a MIG welding robot in a fabrication shop environment to the customers specifications concerning quantity and quality. He/she may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required; including housekeeping, maintenance work and material staging. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Operate manual and/or robotic welding equipment. Read shop orders and engineering drawings to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions. Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.

Produce assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces into fixtures. Measure dimensions of metal work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, rulers, etc. Perform quality checks as prescribed and report issues to lead and/or supervisor.

Accurately document and maintain information in written or electronic form. Safety complete finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc. Perform operator preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems, welders or components.

Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety and quality. Modify computer-controlled robot movements. Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.

Ability to work independently. Positive and Strong work ethic. QUALIFICATIONS Experience running a Panasonic TA series MIG welding robot.

Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.

Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement. Ability to work well in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations. Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.

Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. Safety conscious behavior.

Excellent attendance. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical school, three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
