  • Inspect DOT construction work to ensure compliance with standards and project Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans and standard specifications
  • Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance
  • Review plans to identify potential violations
  • Ability to maintain field and office records
  • Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Determine the quality of materials being used throughout testing
  • Communicate effectively.

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in engineering or construction management preferred, could be substituted with NICET Level 3
  • Minimum (6) years of experience in construction trades.
  • Minimum (4) years of experience as a Construction Inspector including inspection of site/civil
  • OSHA 30 hr.
  • Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems
  • Construction scheduling knowledge to support project team
  • Experience with the Connecticut Department of Transportation is preferred
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures
  • Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
  • Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Following certs preferred: ACI Grade 1, AWS certified welding inspector, QCIS, CESSWI, NETTCP Concrete Insepctor, NETTCP HMA Paving Inspector, OHSHA 30

  • Compensation:  $75,000/yr. min to $90,000/yr. max. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidatesโ€™ qualifications and location. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position.
