DIHO Consulting USA LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector / Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for an industrial pipe fabrication and manufacturing operation.

This position is responsible for ensuring fabricated assemblies, welding activities, materials, and documentation meet project specifications, quality requirements, and client expectations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical inspection skills with the ability to work directly with fabrication personnel, third-party inspectors, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct dimensional inspections and verify completed assemblies against drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect fabricated pipe spools and welded assemblies.
  • Review and maintain weld maps, weld documentation, and WPS-related records.
  • Manage material traceability and heat-number traceability requirements.
  • Review MTRs (Material Test Reports) and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate NDE activities and support inspection requirements.
  • Identify, document, and communicate fabrication or welding deficiencies.
  • Prepare turnover packages and quality documentation for clients.
  • Work closely with welders, fitters, supervisors, and production personnel.
  • Interface professionally with client and third-party inspectors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification in good standing.
  • Experience performing visual weld inspection.
  • Experience with fabricated pipe and spool inspection.
  • Knowledge of dimensional verification and fabrication tolerances.
  • Experience with weld maps, weld tracking, and WPS documentation.
  • Understanding of material traceability and heat-number traceability.
  • Experience reviewing MTRs.
  • Experience coordinating NDE activities.
  • Experience preparing turnover and quality documentation packages.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pipe fabrication shop experience.
  • Industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working directly with client quality representatives and third-party inspectors.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, fit-up requirements, and fabrication quality standards.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is more than a documentation administrator. They understand the fabrication process, can identify welding and quality issues before they become costly rework, and can confidently represent the company's quality program with both production personnel and clients.
