Job description

  • Adhere strictly to all JSC rules and company safety policies related to welding line maintenance.
  • Follow all standardized maintenance procedures when performing repairs or inspections.
  • Ensure all tools, robotics, and welding equipment operate within safety and compliance standards.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair welding line equipment, including robotic systems.
  • Utilize systematic troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and controls-related failures.
  • Apply knowledge of robotics (including Nachi systems), PLC logic, and operating systems to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance (PM) tasks according to weld line schedules.
  • Take a proactive approach by identifying potential failures before they impact production.
  • Repair defects found during PMs and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Prioritize and respond quickly to production downtime (D/T) calls.
  • Monitor welding line performance throughout the shift to identify risks to production flow.
  • Analyze downtime trends and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Perform root cause analysis on major downtime and quality issues.
  • Implement, track, and validate countermeasures for effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements to optimize weld line performance.
  • Maintain working knowledge of industrial robots, specifically Nachi robotic systems.
  • Understand PLC logic, robot programming basics, and system interfaces related to welding operations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the weld line flow, including all components upstream and downstream.
  • Continuously observe and analyze line flow to identify inefficiencies or abnormalities.
  • Identify required and critical spare parts for welding line maintenance.
  • Support inventory control to minimize downtime risks.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality-related incidents and implement countermeasures.
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) during investigations.
  • Assist engineering with new equipment setup, trials, and improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with weld line operators to identify issues and improve line performance.
  • Communicate equipment failures, risks, and improvement opportunities to Team Leaders and management.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Create, update, and manage paperwork for maintenance tracking, downtime analysis, and reporting.
  • Utilize systems such as PLEX for maintenance and production tracking.
  • Use Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, etc.) for communication, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Implement changes that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve equipment reliability.
