Job Duties
- Perform structural welding in a shipyard environment.
- Identify and follow the appropriate Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).
- Safely operate welding equipment.
- Complete assigned welding tasks while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Move and organize materials as needed to support production.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned by supervision.
Weld Test
Candidates must successfully complete:
- Written welding test
- Hands-on weld test
- 1-inch plate
- 12-inch weld
- Ceramic tape backing
- Vertical and overhead welding positions
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of structural welding experience in a shipyard
- Must have experience with MIG welding
- Candidates with less experience may be considered if they can successfully pass the weld test
- Must be proficient in operating welding equipment
- Must be able to read and follow welding procedures
- Must pass both the written and practical welding tests
Shifts:
- Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
- OT is available
