Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities meet the applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. This is a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of welded components used in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections of welds and welded assemblies.

  • Verify compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and applicable codes (e.g., AWS D1.2/D1.2M).

  • Develop, maintain, and review welding procedures, welder qualification records, and inspection documentation.

  • Monitor welding processes for adherence to quality, safety, and technical standards.

  • Document inspection results and generate accurate reports for internal use and client delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, fabrication, and management teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

  • Identify and ensure corrective actions are implemented for non-conformance findings.

  • Participate in quality audits, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct welder performance qualification testing per AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code – Aluminum.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices, standards, and certifications.

Required Qualifications:
