What You'll Do
This role is responsible for welding and fabricating standard and custom bins, hoppers, silos, tanks, and related equipment used across industries including food processing, plastics, chemicals, wastewater, and manufacturing.
Daily responsibilities may include:
  • Measuring, layout work, grinding, and blueprint reading
  • Tack welding and final welding of components
  • Operating welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
  • Using overhead cranes, torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and material handling equipment
  • Setting up weld equipment for specific tasks and materials
  • Inspecting welds and finished surfaces for quality and accuracy
  • Grinding and finishing welds for clean, professional appearance
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Following all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and read a tape measure.
  • A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution or three (3) years working experience in welding, fabrication and layout.
  • Must successfully pass a performance weld test and written skills assessment.
  • Must utilize different welding processes: GMAW, GTAW, SMAW and FCAW.
  • Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
