Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Field Technician to support industrial maintenance, fabrication, and installation projects at customer sites throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, pipefitting, and mechanical maintenance, and be comfortable working in industrial environments such as manufacturing facilities, processing plants, and commercial sites.
* Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and modification of industrial piping systems and equipment.
* Assist with pipe fabrication, fitting, cutting, threading, and assembly according to project specifications.
* Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required.
* Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and work orders.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
* Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and material handling equipment.
* Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency service work as needed.
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and customer site requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding project status and field conditions.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, welding, pipefitting, or a related trade.
* Working knowledge of industrial piping systems, valves, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
* Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to pass pre-employment screening and drug testing
* OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
* Experience working in chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, refineries, or industrial environments.
* Welding certifications are a plus.
