Job description

MIG Welder (Welder I)

Pay: $23 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Job Summary

We are hiring MIG Welders to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll weld structural steel and fabricated metal components using the GMAW (MIG) process. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and producing quality welds in a fast-paced production environment.

What You'll Do
  • Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel components
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
  • Weld structural frames and fabricated parts
  • Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
  • Operate grinders, drills, and other fabrication equipment
  • Inspect finished welds for quality
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Previous MIG welding experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Ability to pass a weld test
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Bend, kneel, reach, and climb as needed
  • Work in a manufacturing environment around welding equipment
