Job description

We are looking for a Metal Fabricator/Welder for the P&K Stone Projects Team. Position includes blueprint reading, welding, fabricating, heavy equipment operation, mining equipment repair and component installation, and working as a team to complete special projects within various P&K Stone locations. Position requires candidates travel to P&K locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with self-provided vehicle and tools to complete tasks. Tools include basic hand tools, C-clamps, ½-ton - 1-ton come-along, drills, grinders, measures and leveling tools, minimum 260 arc welder, plasma cutting torch. Experience operating all-terrain telehandler a plus. Previous experience inside mine sites and/or MSHA training a plus.
Paid truck allowance for providing own vehicle with tools listed above.
Preferred Position Skills:
- Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Welding and fabrication of steel to produce components such as conveyor legs, material chutes, and equipment support structures
- Operating equipment such as an all-terrain telehandler and/or excavator
- Ability to quickly devise solutions to various fabrication challenges that will be implemented on various pieces of mining plant equipment
- Previous experience working within active mine sites
- 1-2 years minimum of previous arc welding experience
- MSHA Part 46 training
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to follow P&K Stone mine safety rules and practices
- Ability to travel to P&K Stone locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with candidate's own tools
