Howden, a Chart Industries company is a global engineering business who focuses on providing clients with industrial products that help multiple sectors improve their everyday processes. Howden's core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and have over a century of experiences in doing so. We are currently seeking an experienced Welder based at our Windsor, CT location.
What Will You Do?
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Perform TIG and MIG welding on a daily basis
Reviews blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine appropriate materials, tools, and procedures needed to complete processes
Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum and stainless steel
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require...
Standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and walking production floor, must be able to lift up to 25lbs. Use a computer
Your Experience Should Be...
High School diploma or GED.
3 plus years of welding experience
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Must possess mechanical aptitude
