Have you ever trained apprentices? Are you retired and need something to do? Do you have a heart for the trades? Do you want to share your knowledge and skills as a tradesman? Are you looking for part time work? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we are looking for you!

The pipe Welding Instructor position is available immediately! HIRING ON THE SPOT!

If you are able to weld and teach processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW on plate and SMAW, GTAW on pipe, we could be ready to offer you the position upon completion of your weld test. You can either bring with you, your recent certifications or be tested at our facility to take a 3G/4G plate and 6G pipe. You must have several years in the welding industry. Our Diploma Programs provide students with entry-level skills, knowledge, and potential certification to obtain employment in the welding trades, with a ratio of 30% class time and 70% hands-on training.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing quality instruction for the 18 to 45-year-old student population.
  • Teaching the full range of classes in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW on plate and pipe in all positions.
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organized welding shop.
  • Having the ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, welding symbols, and pipefitting materials.

The Necessary Skills for the position are as follows:
  • Ability and skill to weld pipe and plate in all positions.
  • A heart for empowering students with welding knowledge.
  • In-depth understanding of welding and cutting processes.
  • Ability to read, understand, and use Welding Procedure Specification sheets.
  • Communication skills (verbal and written).
  • People development and instructional skills and abilities.
  • Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills that can adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated and professional, with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn, and reason for all of the entire workday.
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
