Cutting Edge Fabrication is a leading metal fabrication company producing medium to large-complex metal weldments for various industries such as transportation, defense, and aerospace.  We have a new owner and new management team and are looking to grow upon the foundation that has been built over the past three decades.  Our priorities are safety, quality, and on time delivery which ensures that we are properly taking care of our employees and customers.  We are looking to grow and are looking for those who have a continuous improvement mindset.


Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled individual with fitting and welding expertise. You will take charge of weldment and fabrication projects assigned to you, meeting production schedules while maintaining high quality and accuracy. Responsibilities include open table setups and accurately fitting precut and formed components while holding tolerances. Must be able to problem-solve and produce fabrications to print specifications efficiently. This fitter welder job will provide an excellent opportunity for challenges and growth working with mild steel, alloys, stainless, and aluminum. 


In this job, you will be responsible for the following:

Open table set up

Precision MIG welding using solid, metal-core, and flux-core wires

Weld to AWS and ASME standards

Produce fabrications to print specification

Ensure the highest quality level of product

We desire someone who aspires to play a vital role in the weld area

Other duties as required

Requirements

Minimum three years of welding and fitting experience

Experience working with various materials (heavy plate, manganese, stainless, AR, alloy, and aluminum)

Skilled using hand plasma, torch, squares, grinders, turnbuckles, etc.

Overhead crane experience

TIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding experience is a plus

Read and understand blueprints and weld symbols

Exceptional attention to detail

Excellent verbal communication

Good interpersonal skills

Be able to work overtime as needed

Willingness to help your co-workers
