What are some common challenges faced by software engineers working on the Weissman compression algorithm team?

Engineers working on the Weissman compression algorithm team often encounter challenges related to optimizing algorithm efficiency while maintaining data integrity. Additionally, collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as data scientists and infrastructure engineers, is essential to ensure the algorithm integrates seamlessly into larger systems. Staying updated with the latest research and advancements in data compression is also important for ongoing success in this role.

A Weissman typically refers to someone associated with the Weissman Score, a fictional data compression metric introduced in the HBO television series 'Silicon Valley.'
