Overview

Amazing Patients, Inspiring Careers Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) โ€“ Weill Cornell Medical Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) deliver patient-centered anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures, including cardiac, vascular, neurosurgery, pediatrics and obstetrics. Nurse Anesthetists administer general, regional and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical, obstetric and diagnostic procedures. In addition, our CRNAs provide one-on-one anesthesia instruction for Columbia University and Fairfield University's Nurse Anesthesia Program.

This is a full-time position located at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. We offer 8, 10, 13 and 24 hour shifts with a requirement to participate in a minimal amount of OB call. NEW GRADS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.

Responsibilities

As a CRNA, you will:

  • Provide anesthesia services for scheduled and emergency surgical, obstetric and diagnostic procedures, including general, regional and monitored anesthesia care.
  • Deliver patient-centered anesthesia care across a variety of specialties (e.g., cardiac, vascular, neurosurgery, pediatrics, obstetrics).
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in clinical decision-making and leadership within the department.
  • Participate in educational activities, including anesthesia instruction for Nurse Anesthesia programs.
  • Engage in a professional setting focused on safety, quality of care and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Preferred Criteria

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

Required Criteria

  • Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA).
  • Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN).
  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
  • BCLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
Additional Information
  • On-site presence is required (varies by role); employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.
  • Salary Range: $247,450โ€“$290,000 per year.
