Basic Function
Under the direction of an administrator or manager, responsible for a variety of specialized and technical duties related to cultural events of the Division and the College. Schedules events; coordinates and supervises stage, shop, and front of house; maintains the facilities and equipment in safe running order; hires and trains stage crew; oversees and participates in the construction of sets and rigging, lighting and sound needs for productions.
Representative Duties
1. Manages the activities of all the performing spaces used by the Division of Arts and Cultural Programs. E
2. Performs a variety of specialized and technical duties in the operations, use and maintenance of the College theater facilities and equipment. E
3. Designs sets and lighting, oversees safe construction and implementation of designs. E
4. Constructs sets and performs mastery rigging, carpentry and property duties as required. E
5. Selects, supervises, assigns, and trains students, and other technical personnel necessary to stage events. E
6. Coordinates the scheduling of cultural events according to established priorities; establishes and maintains the Theater production calendar deadlines. E
7. Assists in the preparation, justification, implementation, and maintenance of budgets for the theaters. E
8. Arranges for and secures supplies and equipment for production needs using standard College purchasing procedures. E
9. Maintains all College equipment and spaces in a safe and orderly manner. E
10. Keeps the inventory up to date. E
11. Maintains records of purchase and work orders, transportation and facility requests, requisitions, invoices, workers' hours, and other necessary documents. E
12. Serves as a liaison between other College employees to ensure the smooth operations of events: Including, but not limited to; the facility scheduler, parking services, maintenance services, division secretaries, accounting, payroll and purchasing services. E
13. Communicates with administrators, faculty, performers, and others in coordinating productions; arranges, attends various meetings as required. E
14. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative responsibilities in support of the department's day-to-day activities and/or operations utilizing a variety of communication modalities including but not limited to answers and responds to phone calls, emails, text messages, and chat platforms; opens, screens, and distributes mail and correspondence; photocopies documents and requests duplication services; ensures maintenance and repairs of assigned work areas, facilities, or equipment; enters various requests for services from IT, Facilities, and Maintenance; contacts vendors for equipment service, when needed; follows-up with vendors to ensure satisfactory completion of requests; may perform simple repairs or maintenance to standard office equipment. E
15. Performs related duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education and Experience
