Job description

We are searching for an experienced Service Writer to join our team. The Service Writer position assists the Service Manager with all Service Department operations. To perform the essential duties of this position a person must be able to multitask, think quickly and make decisions on the fly, in addition the service writer must be able to multitask.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Answering service calls
  • Writing customer work orders
  • Assist Service Manager with ordering parts to complete service & sales work orders
  • Receiving parts and entering them into stock
  • Billing work and creating invoices for Service & Sales
  • Checking in new and used vehicles and assigning them stock numbers
  • Assist Service Manager with maintaining the lot for Sales inventory list
  • Assist Service Manager with following vehicles through to their completion
  • Handle NMEDA paperwork to ensure compliance
  • Assist with Parts inventory

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years related Service Writer experience
  • Automotive experience preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Mechanically inclined to support in the shop when needed
