WORK SCHEDULE
This regular full-time position works year around (12 months). The work is performed on campus. The nature of the duties may require occasional night and/or weekend events/work which may lengthen or shorten each workday individually.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Analyst plays a critical role within the Advancement Team, supporting key functions such as analytics, gift processing and acknowledgements, donor data integrity, and strategic reporting. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Advancement, this role is responsible for managing the school's fundraising database, ensuring accuracy, security, and meaningful insights that drive donor engagement and institutional fundraising strategies. This position requires an experienced database professional with expertise in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and ReNXT, exceptional Excel and reporting skills, and a passion for data analysis and visualization.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, analytical, and proactive, with a strong understanding of KPI tracking, data segmentation, and confidential data handling. They will love working with business intelligence tools, hold the ability and interest in modeling multidimensional datasets, and will partner with fundraising leaders to answer key business questions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of all donor and constituent data within Raiser's Edge and ReNEXT databases
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators(KPI's) across multiple timeframes(daily, weekly, monthly) and perform analysis on any behaviors/processes that could impact on data integrity
  • Support special projects as required, including research, data analysis, and the presentation of results and recommendations to internal partners
  • Develop, generate, and maintain reports (Giving Reports), queries, mailing lists, and interactive dashboards to support fundraising, stewardship, and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain standardized coding practices of constituent records to ensure accurate and consistent data retrieval and analysis.
  • Manage the daily posting of donations, ensuring accurate fund/project coding and reconciliation with gift processing.
  • Analyze donor data and provide actionable insights, including identifying key segments for campaigns, events, and engagement strategies.
  • Assist in developing,tracking, and reporting constituent engagement statistics and fundraising campaign metrics.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of constituent information at all times by adhering to ethical and confidentiality guidelines of the institution and CASE
  • Maintain proficiency with standard prospect research resources and stay abreast of new resources and technologies
  • Understand financial analysis of prospects and donors known wealth indicators to assess potential philanthropic capacity

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, data analytics or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using Raiser's Edge and ReNEXT is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to interact effectively with business and technical staff at all levels
  • Demonstrate experience with multi-tasking, attention to detail, meticulous record-keeping and reorganizing tasks according to shifting priorities
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a team member, set priorities appropriately, and organize workload effectively to meet strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software as necessary
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and practice sound judgement
  • Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and operational compliance
  • Understand basic principles of computer system analysis, principles of organization and project management
  • Exceptional Excel skills to manipulate date and import/export data between systems
  • Basic understanding of SQL, Access, or other relational database systems experience a plus
  • Superior problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to discern complex situations and make decisions on a variety of complex matters
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in technology
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites
