Job description

Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Analyst, Renewable Procurement, will support the sourcing and commercial evaluation of major equipment and services for Invenergy's growing pipeline of wind energy projects. Responsibilities include issuing RFPs, evaluating supplier proposals, developing cost estimates and forecasts, and supporting commercial negotiations and supplier management activities with industry-leading manufacturers and service providers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a natural curiosity about the energy industry and an interest in contract drafting and negotiation. The successful candidate will possess the ability to remain highly organized, communicate effectively across multiple functions, build strong relationships, perform complex analyses, and develop recommendations for leadership based on analysis. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in renewable energy procurement, supplier negotiations, and commercial strategy while contributing directly to the successful execution of high-profile utility-scale wind energy projects across North America. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Renewable Procurement.

This position will work on-site from Invenergy's office in Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Development, and Origination teams to identify and document project-specific technical, commercial, and schedule requirements for RFPs.

  • Draft and administer RFP packages for wind turbine equipment and service procurements, ensuring alignment with project objectives, commercial strategies, and stakeholder requirements.

  • Analyze wind OEM proposals and prepare summaries to support cross-functional decision-making and supplier award recommendations.

  • Support ongoing supplier relationship management efforts, including leading weekly supplier coordination meetings, preparing meeting summaries, tracking deliverables, and following up on key actions with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of routine contractual documents, including NDAs, amendments, and change orders, working closely with internal stakeholders and legal counsel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, Engineering or other related discipline.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, contracting, finance, project development or other related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including ability to organize and analyze large data sets, develop financial analyses, and prepare professional reports and presentations.

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry

  • Experience supporting contract negotiations.

  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Demonstrated interest in renewable energy industry, infrastructure development, supply chain management or commercial strategy.

  • Proven influential verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong ability to analyze data and interpret statistics.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial information to a variety of audiences.

Base Pay

82,000.00 - 98,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
