Job description

We are seeking a Production Trainee to learn the operation of automated and semi-automated wire mesh welding machines. This is an entry-level opportunity with training provided and potential advancement to Welding Machine Operator.

Responsibilities:

  • Load wire coils, rods, and materials into welding machines.
  • Learn to operate and monitor resistance welding equipment.
  • Assist with machine setup and changeovers.
  • Inspect finished products for weld quality and proper dimensions.
  • Stack, bundle, tag, and prepare finished products.
  • Perform basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification required
  • No previous welding experience required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
  • Comfortable working around heat, noise, and industrial machinery
  • Reliable attendance and strong attention to safety
  • Available for overtime or weekends as needed
