Job description

Your Opportunity
At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact-on your career, your clients, and your future. If you're interested in financial planning and advice, the Wealth Management Academy is designed to help you build the foundation for a long-term career in wealth management while owning your tomorrow.
The Wealth Management Academy is a 15-month rotational development program within Wealth & Advice Solutions that blends structured learning, hands-on experience, and mentorship. You'll begin with focused preparation for required securities licensing, followed by immersive training that builds market knowledge, client-centered judgment, and the consultative confidence needed to succeed in advice and planning roles. Throughout the program, you'll be supported by leaders and coaches who champion your growth in a collaborative, One Schwab environment grounded in integrity and service above all.
We are currently accepting applications for 2027 Wealth Management Academy April Cohort in Omaha, NE. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates relocating from other states.
During your time in the Academy, you will:
  • Earn required FINRA licenses by studying for and passing the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams during the initial 3-4 months of the program, while developing the discipline and learning strategies needed for a regulated, advice-driven environment.
  • Build foundational advice and service capabilities by assisting clients with trading and service needs through inbound phone, chat, and digital interactions-learning how to explain concepts clearly, navigate questions confidently, and deliver solutions aligned to client goals.
  • Complete rotations across Wealth & Advice Solutions businesses, gaining exposure to Schwab's advice models, products, and service strategies while deepening your understanding of how different teams collaborate to serve clients effectively.
  • Strengthen consultative and professional skills through live client interactions, coaching, and wealth management training that reinforce Schwab's need-based, client-first approach.
  • Apply learning in real time, combining classroom instruction, self-study, and web-based development with on-the-job experience to build judgment, market awareness, and confidence.
  • Transition into a role on the Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) Centralized Service Team upon successful completion of the Academy, serving as an ambassador for Schwab by educating clients and solving problems through inbound interactions. This experience serves as a foundation for future career growth to Associate Wealth Advisor opportunities across Schwab locations.
