Job description

Material Handler

Local chemical facility (Theodore, AL) is looking for experienced Material Handler. Must have valid driver's license and a clear background.

These are 12-hour rotating shifts.

Starting pay: $21.17 shift work

Activities would include:

  • Operate heavy equipment including extensive forklift experience a must
  • Experience in loading/unloading and packaging of product
  • Work around rotating/moving equipment while packaging
  • Manually handles various materials
  • Regularly work at heights including off the top of ladders and the top of railcars and bulk truck trailers
  • Routinely climb ladders and stairs to perform various tasks
  • Be able to respond quickly to identify and correct quality issues
  • Be able to maneuver and work in confined spaces to clean out and prep equipment
