Job Summary:
Responsible for using forklift/pallet jack to locate and accurately pull products according to order. Prepares pallets for retail store delivery while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uses warehouse communication system to locate and pull products for retail store orders in an accurate, productive, and safe manner.
  • Maneuvers forklift/pallet jack to stack products onto pallets securely for delivery to store.
  • Ensures cases, bales, and containers contain appropriate labels, tags, and information.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
  • Shrink wraps store orders with label and moves completed orders to the loading dock staging area using pallet jack.
  • Reports product discrepancies or quality issues to management including damaged product, equipment issues, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Basic knowledge of the warehouse communication system and ordering machine.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.

  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED and six or more months of related experience preferred. Prerequisite experience as an order selector trainee preferred.
  • Food Handler certification required.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
  • Required to pass a physical agility test.
