Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support production by minimizing equipment downtime, providing prompt response times.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance and planned production equipment repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repairissues withmechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic,and electrical systems.
  • Perform minortasks onelectricalcomponentssuch as sensors, fuses, breakers, etc.
  • Follow safety policies and practices whilemaintainingWabash's LeadershipPrinciples and Values.
  • The Maintenance Technician Iposition is expected to work 8 hours/day, including mandatory overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to work on projects both individually and with a cross-functional team.
  • Hours for this position vary based on the shift assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed orrequired.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drugscreen.

  • Prior experience with the following skills: Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical (24DC, 120/277/480AC) systems. Methodical problem solving toidentifyroot cause of breakdowns.
  • Ability to work on projects both individually and cross functionally.
  • Must be capable of rapidly responding, adapting to changing and nonstandard situations,whileremainingthorough and safety conscious during entire process.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude, knowledge of tools (power and hand), ability to make detailed measurements using instruments, including but not limited to, tape measures, micrometers, and dial calipers.
  • Experience using SAP and SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) is a plus
  • The desired candidate will have 1-3 years' experience in any related field.
  • Excellent Communication skills arerequired.
  • Knowledge of ladder logic preferred.
  • Knowledge of480-volt AC/DC motor controls preferred.
